All these different sizing systems certainly don't make our lives any easier. For example, on this site whenever there's a size 39 found this is always converted to a US 9. Now that may be the case for the Italian system but for the rest of (Western) Europe. I know for a fact that if I go to a shoe store and want the equivalent to a US women's size 9 I'll end up getting a size 41.
Also, as Brazilian fellow said, a 42 EU is indeed about the same as a US mens size 8.5 (or women's size 10). At least where I live.

WOW ..after all that information brazilian fellow, I think that it would be easier and more fun just to measure maria's feet on a brannock and see how she measures up

Actually, this difference between Italian and European sizes as a whole is very confusing. My aunt once travelled 2 Italy, and while she was still in there, I asked her 2 bring me 3 pairs of Adidas shoes (coz of the taxes we have here in Brazil, imported goods of any kind are very expensive, making sneakers of brands like Nike, Puma or Adidas cost US$250,00 and up) in size 42 European, which is about the same as a America Mens 8.5 or a Brazilian 40 (our system is very similar, tho not identical to the European, and almost the same as the so-called Italian)...and guess what? They fitted my feet perfectly!

So I really have few, not to say no clue, on where this "Italian system" came from...my shoes were a 42 in Italy and in most of Europe!

This difference of measures in different countries can be confusing, but I think a 10 means 43/44 by european measures. Maria is an extremely tall lady and she has large feet (at least a 10). Her feet and toes look large. She is a very beautiful girl and she's got some of the nicest feet. I just adore her and her feet - of course.

well if paris hilton is a size 11---which i wouldn't neccessarily guess by looking at her shoes or feet, i would definitely guess that maria is an 11 or larger--since her shoes and feet appear larger than paris in photos

Kirsebom, you always seem to dispute shoe sizes in favor of larger sizes. You seem to like big feet, eh? lol
Anyway, as someone already said, though size 10 doesn't really mean "small" feet, if Maria is 6'2" and wearing a size 10, then that is small for her height, as the average woman of that height would likely be in a 13.

Well, damn, the woman's 6'2" which is a tall drink of water for any GUY so a size 10 shoe definately does not mean she has big feet. Even if she wears an 11, that's still barely proportioned to her incredible stature.

I think based on the pictures as well as her height she would have to be at least 11 or 12. The pictures of her in shoes makes it look as though her feet are to big for them and the pics of her feet look big.
